Deptula brings new perspective to QB controversy

I just heard him on the radio and was kind of taken back by his comments. He said that he has been saying for months that it doesn't matter which QB (Garcia/Shaw) starts for Carolina this season. He said Shaw is just as capable as Garcia to run this offense. He went on to say Shaw is more decisive than Garcia. Shaw is also very accurate on short and intermediate routes. Garcia may have the edge on deep routes but how accurate do you have to be when you are throwing it up to Alshon Jeffery. Shaw also brings a different skill set on the ground than Garcia. Shaw is fast, he played some WR in HS.

Just bringing a different person's point of view to the table. I don't know what Spurrier is up to but I for one am very excited to see Shaw play on sat. If you have two guys that are capable of playing QB why not give the guy that you have not seen under pressure a shot? You won't know if you don't give him a chance. Give Shaw some early playing time in a game that we should win in case Garcia goes down later in the year. If it doesn't work out, put Garcia in. It also gives UGA two QBs that they have to think about.
