As you all know Carolina held their first practice of the fall today. Normally I would take this time to tell you every bit of good I could get out of the coaches and players mouths. I would break down everything good I found out about every single player.
I won't blow sunshine up your asses this time. I have found that when I read homer material about Clemson I lose interest and pretty much just stop reading. I know you guys do the same when I start my pumping about Carolina. Not saying my sunshine days are over but I will spare you guys tonight. Instead I will try to focus on the entire team as a whole with the exception of pointing out one or two individual players:
- The key words, terms, and phrases tonight from the players and coaches was centered around team unity. I heard the words "bond" and "unselfishness" a lot tonight.
- Another common subject was conditioning and speed. Spurrier said he saw a lot more speed tonight than former first practices. Not only due to conditioning but from new players coming in. Spurrier had a smile throughout his whole first post-practice interview.
- Jadeveon Clowney played to fast. He was trying to do too much. Spurrier said we like to let the QBs get the ball off in the early fall practices. You might have to take Clowney out to get him to slow down.
- Alshon was in a minor car wreck and has a sore back. He will be fine in a couple of days according to Spurrier.
