They are a money generator.

It's all about money bro. If you think FSU is well off then you may be mistaken compared to any team in the SEC. They can do much, MUCH better in the SEC. As could any other team.

Here is a list of the most valuable teams in the nation by Forbes magazine. 2009 was the newest article I could find but the rankings don't change much year by year. If you find a newer one please post because I tried my best.

Notice there are 8 SEC programs in the top 20 and no ACC programs, including the rich FSU program.
