Spill the Beans

Well....I didn't post that picture to start a flame war. I was just shocked at it. It's pretty funny and in no way am I diminishing what he's capable of on the football field. You gotta admit he does look flabby though.

To what I referred to earlier...I got up unusually early this morning and was on xbox chat with Rousey and endured yet another SC fan talking about their true freshmen and how they will be outstanding...along with the rest of the team that is too amazing to be true. I just think a lot of Carolina fans are being very bold about the team they have. I mean, yeah they probably will win the SEC east. I will not take away from the fact that they look good right now.

But, I say take caution and look at history. Not "Chicken Curse" or anything silly like that. I'm talking about recent history. Carolina was very inconsistent last year. One week they were amazing, the next they looked like the same ol' 7-5 team they have been the last couple of years. Five losses is a lot. Also, they lost very badly to end the year, to Auburn and FSU. No win to gain momentum going to the offseason, if you believe in that sort of thing. Stephen Garcia has yet to prove he can be consistent for any length of time. The defensive secondary looked horrible down the stretch....

I know these things may seem like they're fixable. They probably are. I'm not trying to put them down. I just think some SC fans may need to slow down the wagon a little bit. I mean...have you ever seen so many garnet t-shirts around these days? It's Gamecock mania. I guess I'm just ready to see if they can live up to the hype. I remember talk like this around Tigertown when Spiller and the bunch were coming into a season all hyped up. And I can gaurantee you there will be a focused team ready to take on those Gamecocks come November. We as Clemson fans are not going to give undue credit and stay in the background and listen to this talk! I respect SC, Spurrier, and all their fans....but I'm not gonna cry when it starts crumbling....starting with the UGA bulldogs! Well, that's not likely to happen, but I'm willing to bet they will be playing a surprisingly good group of Tigers in a few months. Go Tigers! Thoughts?
