Excited?

I was just checking out my ESPN app. on my XBOX (hint, hint) and watched a highlight of Steve Spurrier being interviewed. Not sure which show, but I think it is really neat that you can watch highlights of sport by category, or in this case by assigned favorites. Blake, you should check out ESPN 3 on your computer and see if they have it like that. Saves me from having to watch ESPN until football season.

My main point, besides the blatant Microsoft advertising, was how excited it got me by browsing upcoming events. They already have the Clemson game showing up there among many others. It is just awesome to be able to see some games already on a viewing schedule. I'm ready for some football. I'm ready to open a beer and get to watching.

Something ya'll might find funny is how, when I'm off on a Saturday I will see a noon game (usually B1G) and try to fully watch it in earnest. Well....truth is, if I'm watching it alone, I almost always throw in whatever game I'm playing and play it until around the 4th quarter....basically when the good games come on. Does that make me a bad fan? I was just thinking about my gameday habits. This year I will be working more Saturdays probably, but the good news is I will be able to leave early (by 4 at the latest most of the time), and be able to catch all the great ones.

Ok guys, anybody else got any funny gameday stories? Blake probably wears his dirty gamecock briefs and Vance puts on his favorite orange kimono? Come on...lets talk tradition and the fun side of gameday among other reports today. Tons of news and analysis on ESPN.com and CNNSI.com. I recommend Mandel's mailbag and Andy Staples, both of CNNSI. One last thing, the media will be allowed to watch Clemson's practice tonight, the first in full pads.
