Didn't I...

just mention the 16 team superconference before all this went down? Okay, I haven't even went to tigerillustrated.com to see what Barker said. I went to espn and read the full article and it had the very quote from Barker that Blake text me. So....that means espn and some probable high rankings sources still think this is going to be what the SEC pursues. Make sure you guys read that article to agree or disagree.

I don't see any of these schools turning this offer down if everything is laid out in an equitable fashion and here's why:

1. Money! It's no secret the schools will get loads more once the ESPN contract will be renegotiated because of league expansion.

2. Recruiting! You are now part of the best conference on the best national run in college football history.

3. Change! All of these conferences are about to be shaken up. The ACC could get purged by other, richer conferences. Why not go ahead and get secure in the SEC? I think we have no precedent for this, so it's hard to say what's going to happen for conference realignment. All we know is that it's happening right now, and it is not over.

Five years ago we wouldn't have dreamed of what happened last year. And obviously thats just a start. Disagree if you'd like, but I think number 3 is the most important. FSU does not want to be a part of some watered down league that loses it's BCS status. It's all chaotic and anything can happen.
