And that is what Lou was trying to do. He inherited a very bad football program and I do mean program and not just team. He did however give the Cocks their best year of football. I am not so sure the game had passed him by. It really doesn't matter but he deserves a little more respect than he has been getting.The game of College football has changed since Spurrier last coached too, his type of offense was on the way out when he left for the Pro's. Who knows? Maybe he can bring it back, he is arguably the one who started that type of offense, which is pretty much a modification of the old run and shoot (fun and gun).
I know we are hoping for more, but 9 wins would be an improvement and we shouldn't complain. Just don't forget, Bowden asked for what is bringing in those new recruits when he arrived at Clemson, he just now got it. In other words, make no mistake, Bowden is what has got and is continuing to get those good recruits. Our day is coming, the one thing we can do to stop it is forget how we got to this point and start over yet again with another coach.
