Finally a serious football question

This is what I was I was looking for when I asked if there was anything interesting happening at clem's practice. Then big bad Kane came in and messed everything up lol.

To tell you the truth it is still very early to for anyone to say how the OL is doing. As you said before, it's tough to evaluate any position without full pads on. It is even more difficult to evaluate the OL without full pads on. At least with the skill position players you can see their quickness, hands, ect. Really there is nothing you can get from an OL without full pads on. I believe they are just now able to wear shoulder pads so we should know more soon. Reports so far are good on them with the little you have to go off of. There is a lot of depth there just like on the DL. There is also a lot of experience. In fact its the most experienced OL since Spurrier has been here (72 starts between them). The only starter we lost is our center. They are very big in size. Spurrier said that they look a lot like Bama's OL as far as size goes. Will they play like Bama? That's yet to be seen. I think you will probably see something similar to last season as far as the OL goes for Carolina. Not great but not terrible. They at least have a very good DL to practice against. That can't hurt. Here is a video of Shawn Elliot talking about them after last night's practice, sounds pretty positive:

The position to be concerned about for Carolina fans is LB. There is depth and talent there but very young and no experience. I think we are going to have some growing pains this year at that position. Particularly in the first half of the season. I don't like the match-up with UGA's running attack one bit. I think the RB vs LB match-up may be enough to give UGA the win this season against us. I'm hoping the talent on the DL will be able to help them out but it's still a very scary situation to me.

I've also heard good things about clem's front seven. One thing is for sure, they will get the ultimate test against one of the best offenses in the country when they open up with UGA. It should be fun to watch.

PS. Brent doesn't want to take the time at home to post here so he tries to post while he's at work. His greasy fingers on his cell phone screen are proving to be very difficult for him to post lol.
