Teams 16 through 20 Reviewed

Today's teams are the ones that are in between BCS and lower tier bowl status. There are a few teams that could challenge for their respective conference titles as well:

20. Texas Tech: Tech replaces the starting QB for a fifth straight year, but I suspect them to lead the nation in passing yet again with great recievers and incredible system. Their defensive line is very talented and deep and the linebackers, led by Keyunta Dawson and Fletcher session, is also very formidable. The secondary is questionable, but overall this unit will compete with all of their conference foes. They get Texas at home. MVP: Keyunta Dawson, OLB

19. Arizona State: The Sun Devils have two all PAC-10 quality QBs to work with some unproven talent. Four offensive linemen return and Zach Miller is the best of a great group of tight ends. On defense, there are really big question marks with 8 expected starters missing significant time in the spring. The Devils are solid enough to at least compete offensively with anyone in their conference. MVP: Terry Richardson, WR KR

18. Iowa: Drew Tate will need help from RB Albert Young and TEs Scott Chandler andTony Moeaki to compensate from inexperienced recievers, but the guys mentioned above are very much capable of doing so. Their defensive line is probably the strenth of the defense at this point with the most experience, but according to coaches the linebackers have been very impressive and the secondary could be an upgrade. MVP: Drew Tate, QB

17. TCU: The Frogs return 8 starters on offense including a trio of talented running backs and an unbeaten QB (8-0) from last year. The O-line has to replace 3 starters. TCU is loaded on the defensive side of the ball and led the nation in takeaways last year with 40. This team is better to me than Utah. MVP: Aaron Brown, RB

16. Florida: Everything I have read has Florida in the top 5 or ten, but I disagree. Chris Leak (who I think is one of the best QBs in the country) returns to run Urban Meyer's heralded offense, but I am not convinced it can work in the defensive SEC every week. Florida's defense is loaded with talent and will be one of the SEC's best. MVP: Chris Leak, QB
