If you want to post funny pictures in someones post, fine. I think its entertaining and they still get to speak.

If you don't want to give your opinion on a subject, or want a subject off limits fine.

But don't edit someone else's ability to give their opinion on a subject just because you don't want to give yours. How is someone supposed to post here if you are going to go in and edit what they are saying?
