Yea Spurrier was pissed yesterday

I was going to post about it this evening but you beat me to the punch.

I don't blame Spurrier, I would be pissed too. When you have 3 starters, one of them being your best player that seems to be milking injuries I doesn't sit well. As we all have seen, Spurrier's favorite thing to do as far as lighting a fire under players is to tell the media about it. So far it has worked with every player ( besides Garcia, he just didn't give a shit lol). For example, Clowney and Byrd both were back practicing again today. Ellington was at practice but didn't participate which worries me into thinking that he wasn't milking the injury and it is worse than it appears. I hope he's healthy this season and doesn't have one of those lingering hamstring injuries that we've seen keep players out the whole season in the past.

In all likelihood these players will be playing against UNC but I don't blame spurrier for calling them out. It seems to have worked. Threaten them with playing time and you will see them move. This kind of thing happens everywhere with star players but I'm sure other coaches have a different method of punishment than telling the media about it. If they all had the mindset of Marcus Lattimore we all would be doing great. The sad fact is that they don't. Clowney is a great player but he will never have what Lattimore had as far as drive and motivation. Then again it's unfair to compare any player to Latt in that regard.

Then again, and you can trust me on this bro, things could be a lot worse for Carolina than a couple of players milking injuries. Times have changed on the discipline front and its kind of crazy that this is the major(only) story as far as discipline goes for Carolina during fall camp.
