I've heard good things about Dye as well

The guys at WCCP seem to to think he will play this year. He's a big back and it's been a while since clemson has had a big back. I think you'll see him on shorter yardage situations this season. 

I'll give my surprise players on offense and defense. Rich may have somebody different. On offense it would probably be  RB David Williams. The staff is also high on RB Jamari Smith but you can only play so many backs. With Mike Davis, Brandon Wilds and Shon Carson returning someone's going to have to RS. It looks like David Williams is going to edge out Smith to avoid the RS. Shon Carson is another one to look out for. If you remember in 2011 he was the 2nd string backup to Latt. Carson went down with a knee in the UGA game and had a wrist injury last season. If he can stay healthy he will compliment Davis and Wilds well as a change-up back. 

The surprise on defense is almost more of a prayer. As you know, i'm concerned about our inexperience at the LB position. We need young LBs to step up this season and so far I've heard good things about Cedrick Cooper. I hear he's a smart player and has been described as a freak physically. Another guy I've heard Whammy talk good about is Skai Moore. Here's to hoping these guys step up.
