Fine bro, but I said truce a long time ago.

This is it:
I have heard multiple times that Caldwells strength is from evaluating talent, which is very hard to do on the OL. You will not see many busts from him, he is still plugging a few leftover holes. But I'm not kidding when I say he gets guys he wants in the right places and is simply a fundamentally sound coach after that. Sorry if that's a flame or ridiculous to you, but that's me being serious. I think Brad Scott was a good coach, but not very good at evaluating talent on the OL which is hard. You will not simply go after 4 star players and be great. UGA is known for that actually, that and simply going after guys other teams evaluate well. 

I don't see what's wrong with that and yes the Thomas situation is not ideal. He is a guy Caldwell did not recruit and not the best OT.
